Trip HQ ("we", "us", "our") provides a group trip planning app and website (the "Service") that helps you and the people you travel with manage a shared packing checklist, documents, and expenses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Information we collect

  • Google account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Trip content you provide. Trip names, destinations, and dates; packing checklist categories and items; expense records (description, amount, who paid, and how it's split); documents you upload; and the email addresses of people you invite to a trip.

How we use this information

  • To create and maintain your account and sign you in.
  • To let you and the people you invite collaborate on a shared trip.
  • To send trip invitation emails on your behalf.
  • To provide support when you contact us.

How we share this information

  • With other members of a trip. Your name, profile photo, checklist activity, and expenses are visible to the other members of any trip you belong to — this is the core purpose of the Service.
  • Service providers. We use infrastructure providers to host the app and send email, who process data only on our behalf.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can remove trip content or leave a trip at any time from within the app. To delete your account and all associated data, visit https://travel.litbylines.com/delete-account.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Trip HQ's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date above.
